Scope: Logo & Identity System

Brand Design PDKM

Background & Challenge

PDKM is a precision plastic and resin component manufacturer serving the automotive industry, specialising in injection moulding, mold engineering, and resin painting. Prior to this project, the company’s brand identity relied solely on a wordmark logo.

The absence of an icon limited its visual versatility and made the brand less distinctive across digital and physical applications. The objective was to develop a comprehensive logo and identity system that captured PDKM’s values of precision, strength, and innovation, while ensuring consistency and scalability across various mediums.

Approach

A brand values workshop was conducted with PDKM’s directors, senior management, and department heads to define the brand’s essence and personality. Insights from the session guided the development of a new logo that combines both icon and wordmark, allowing for flexibility in different usage contexts while maintaining strong brand recognition.

A detailed design identity system was created, covering colour specifications, typography, logo clear space, sizing, and measurement guides for consistent application across all touchpoints. Additionally, presentation templates were designed to standardise internal and external communication materials.

Outcome & Impact

The comprehensive guideline ensures consistent brand application across departments and suppliers, reinforcing professionalism, unity, and clarity in every representation of the PDKM brand.
